Whether you're a complete beginner to animation, a novice, or have experience with it, there will be something for you to learn and gain from this hands-on program.
In this introductory course to frame-by-frame animation, students with little to know knowledge in animation will learn to create short animations and the concepts of keyframing, in-betweens, smears, and other basic principles of 2D animation. Students that have never animated will start by animating something with basic shapes, and as they advance with a better grasp on the animation principles they will learn to animate characters, inanimate objects and organic shapes (ie. a ball, water drops), and their own characters. Along with 2D animation principles, students will learn how to create concept art and visual development for characters for animation, and how to animate those characters.
This class has two different courses:

- traditional 2D animation (using pencil, animation paper, and lightbox)
- digital 2D animation (using computer, graphics tablet, TVpaint software)
